A nice camp site at Mushroom Farm but no electricity. This is an Eco Lodge where the toilets are not flushed (no water) instead you sprinkle ash and leaves over your business to create compost. We forgot to plug in the camping batteries when we left Kande Beach yesterday so have been using our generator. Thank heavens we have one.
Went on a 5 hour hike from the Mushroom Farm to Livingstonia. The hike there we estimate at 8 km and the return using a short cut through the villages and fields about 5 km. We visited the old Stone House in which Dr Robert Laws lived around 1900 (now a Museum). Also visited the Manchewe Falls. Lots of young children at the local School
